As of March 2025, completing the South African Traveler Declaration is mandatory for all travelers entering or leaving South Africa by air, land, or sea, including South African citizens and residents. This requirement applies to adults and necessitates those declarations be completed on behalf of accompanying children or infants.
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) introduced the online Traveler Declaration System to streamline the declaration process and enhance risk management at ports of entry. Initially launched on a voluntary basis, the system has since become compulsory for all travelers.
Schalkie is a precious 2-year-old who will be turning 3 in April 2025. Schalk was diagnosed with Failure to Thrive end of September 2024 for a second time. He was admitted to hospital to determine the cause of his Failure to Thrive, as well as chronic diarhea and vomiting. After a mountain load of blood tests, x-rays, barium swallow, abdominal ultrasound and CT scans, his pediatrician referred him to a Pediatric Gastroenterologist. Read His Full story HERE.
